Anime recommendations
Naruto/Naruto Shippuden:
A mainstream Shounen anime based on the life of ninja's.Naruto was one of the first anime's I watched and although it is not the best anime out there, it is one of my favorites. There is something about this anime that drew me in, it was a combanation of my favorite genres (comedy and action) and the character development in this anime was strong. To anyone who wants to start watching anime, I would stronly recommend starting off with Naruto. (To note when watching Naruto check the filler list)
Bleach:
Bleach is another mainstream anime which is based on sword fighting. It explores the life of 'shinigami's. The main character, Kurosaki Ichigo is intially a normal high school boy who finds out he has the ability to see ghosts. The story then focuses on his journey as a Soul Reaper. For me personally, Bleach took me a while to get into. If I remember correctly, it took me about 16 episodes to get into. But honestly after the 16 episodes it becomes really good so I would say it was worth the wait. (Note: Soul Society arc is the best arc and the fight scenes are amazing).
Fairy Tail:
Fairy tail explores the life of wizards in the land of Fiore. The two main characters are Natsu Dragneel and Lucy Heartfilia. Both characters are on a mission to find something which is precious to them. Natsu meets Lucy and introduces her to join a guild called Fairy Tail. The story then follows onto the adventures of the guild and focuses on the back stories of each individual . This particular anime revolves a lot around friendship. For me personally, it was a enjoyable and intense watch.
Death Note
For me, Death Note is a masterpiece. The story is based around a genius named Yagami Light who comes across a notebook called death note which controls the fate of others. He soon takes control and ownership over it which results in a mind game battle between him and the person trying to catch him out, L.
Attack on Titan
A unique storyline filled with plot twists and amazing character development. I am still yet to carry on with AOT, however, this is by far one of the best anime's going. There are a range of characters in this anime, however each character plays an important role and you begin to see how the story of everything unfolds.
Kuroko no Basket
The first ever sports anime I watched and I loved every minute of it. Intense matches of basketball with a variety of characters. If you are into sports anime, this one is for you. Also filled with comedy and focuses on how teamwork can lead to success.
Angel Beats
A sad yet happy anime. The characters in this anime are loveable and the animation is also a 8/10. I enjoyed the comedy in this anime as well as the light hearted moments. It is an anime I plan to rewatch in the future.
Clannad/Clannad After Story:
Clannad was an anime that was out of my comfort zone. It wasn't the usual shounen action anime. It was based on romance and was more of a slice of life and sad genre. But this is also where I developed a love for slice of life animes. The emotions, the music, the characters, I connected with this anime on a deep level.
